Environment Section

The Environmental Services Department has responsibility for environmental protection throughout the town.
Its functions are refuse collection and recycling, street cleaning and litter control It is also responsible for all public parks, playgrounds and open spaces within the town, In addition, it has responsibility for the promotion of Environmental Awareness. This is done through various promotional projects but primarily through the Tidy towns initiative.

Opening Hours:
9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, including lunch-time.
